In a study conducted by HubSpot based on an analysis of over 1500 web sites it was conclusively found that those businesses that blog correctly will indeed experience an improved result from their web site.

We have all heard... "If you blog, you know that it's good for your business"

If you are like many you will probably then ask "But how -- and how much?"

Hubspot looked at those questions, examining data from 1,531 of their customers (mostly small- and medium-sized businesses). 795 of the businesses in the sample blogged, 736 didn't.

The data was crystal clear: Companies that blog have far better marketing results.

By how much? Specifically, the average company analysed and that blogged had:

  • 55% more visitors
  • 97% more inbound links
  • 434% more indexed pages

Why are website visitors important? Because primarily with more visitors you have a greater chance from a greater number of people to convert them to leads and sales. Another aspect that is good is that your search engine rankings will be improved with greater traffic to your site.

Why are inbound links important? Because they signal authority to search engines, thus increasing your chances of getting found in those search engines.These inbound links establish credibility for your site with the search engines. These are critical to improving your search engine ranking and overall site optimisation.

Why are indexed pages important?

Quite simple really... The more pages you have on your site, the more chances you have of getting found in search engines.
